Breakfast at Tiffany's

8/10

Breakfast at Tiffany'sBy Truman Capote

This book is a classic for a reason. Beautifully written, it has amazing characters and totally original events, comedy, and turns of phrases.

Holly Golightly is such a great character that she's now a piece of our culture. I've never seen the movie (which, knowing movies, probably has a cheesy lovey-dovey ending), but I could still picture her as the gorgeous Audrey. The girl is so original yet has such well-crafted mannerisms that she reminds me of parts of many people I know.

The settings in the book are familiar and comfortable. And frankly, I just love reading books about Manhattan now that I'm living here.
