The Container Store is terrible at packaging, ironically
Dear Container Store,
I already wrote to you once about this shipment, when it was incomplete. You replied that it would be completed the next day, which it was. But it's even worse than before.
I ordered 15 small plastic containers for our freezer. They are only 5" square. What was weird was receiving two separate boxes, one of which had 2 containers in it and the other one, only 1. Either box would have fit 6 or more containers.
The next day, I received the remaining 9 containers, in one large box. Well, they were actually inside two small boxes inside that larger box: boxception. All in all, here's what we ended up with:
- One large box. Maybe you can see in the photo that the 15 containers take up half the space in this box. That means this box alone is large enough to hold 30 containers.
- Four smaller boxes, large enough to hold 6 or so containers.
- Tons of brown paper packing.
- A thick catalog in each box.
- A blue envelope and promotional tip-in in each box.
- A shipping invoice in each box.
I think I can reassemble this all into not just one tree, but a grove. Worse than that, it's a real hassle for us to take all these boxes and paper downstairs in our apartment complex for recycling. I'll stop now, since I think this photo speaks for itself. What are you guys thinking?

Thank you for your email. We still very sorry about your experience with the orders packaging, and this has already been addressed with the managers and team in our distribution list. Typically our customers do not receive orders the way that yours came to you. I understand that since you received your order the way you did, that you would think this is a typical way that items are shipped, but it is far from the truth of being a blanket statement of "The Container Store is terrible at packaging, ironically." As mentioned before, we are going to continue to get better with each and every feedback that we receive from customers, so thank you for letting us know.
