I was trying to delete an outdated bank account in my Paypal account and getting an error, so I contacted them. This was their response (below).
If you click through the email and follow all the steps you eventually get to a message that essentially says, "No problem, we deleted the account for you." Which is great, but why did I have to experience this disaster first? Is their security really compromised by sending me an email directly saying they deleted an account? Does every single site need their own messaging center? Why not provide me a direct link to the messaging center at least?
Paypal has been doing a lot of nice UX cleanup updates in recent years, but this shows they're not there yet.
